The Nashville Music Scene

Music is the very heart of Nashville, Tennessee. You can hear great music 24/7 and every day of the year. There are more than 120 live music venues in Nashville and something for everyone. Music City boasts sounds of country, rock, gospel, contemporary Christian, bluegrass, pop, classical, jazz, blues and soul.

Nashville music venues include Schermerhorn Symphony Center, The Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena, TPAC (Tennessee Performing Arts Center), Texas Troubadour Theatre, and Honky Tonk Row on Broadway or 2nd Ave.

Nashville’s annual music events include the CMA Music Festival and the CMA Music Awards, country music’s biggest night. Others are the Music City Soul Series (February), Awesome April, Music City July 4th: Let Freedom Sing!, and the Country Music Marathon & 1/2 Marathon which begins on the last Saturday of April.

During the winter season music events include Holiday Harmony and the Music City New Year’s Eve Bash on Broadway.

Nashville live music clubs include the WildHorse Saloon, Bluebird Café, Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar, Douglas Corner Café, Exit/In, Layla’s Bluegrass Inn, Robert’s Western World, Station Inn (bluegrass), 3rd & Lindsley Bar and Grill, and 12th & Porter.
